The studio

credo /KRAY-doh/ — a set of beliefs that guide what we make.

Good design isn't decoration. It's the reason a stranger trusts you in five seconds.

Designer & developer

Credo is a small, senior studio: no account managers, no hand-offs. You work directly with the people designing and building your site.

Chengzhi designs and builds every Credo site himself — layout, code, motion and words — with a small bench of collaborators for photography and translation. He studied economics and psychology before design, which is why the studio cares less about awards and more about the five seconds in which a stranger decides whether to trust a page.

That is where Credo's rules come from: a fixed price quoted up front, a short process, code you own — and one measure of success: the site has to be worth more than it costs you.

We work in English, Chinese, Spanish, French and German, with clients in North America, Europe and Asia.

What we believe

Five beliefs; eight working rules follow from them.

Good to know

The things clients ask before we start. Anything else — just ask.

Do you have real clients, or only concept work? +

Both. Two of the sites under Work are live, trading businesses we built and still run; the three concept projects are labelled as such. Other client work isn't published here; ask and we'll show what we can on a call.

What does a project cost? +

Landing pages from $800, business websites from $2,500, template sites from $450. Every project gets a fixed quote after the brief — no hourly surprises. Branding and motion are quoted per scope.

How long does it take? +

A landing page is usually about a week. A full site typically takes two to three weeks — the four stages add up to 6–11 working days, plus your rounds of feedback and content. The timeline is agreed up front.

Do you write the copy and provide images? +

We can. Copy direction and art direction are part of what we do — we shape your content or write and source visuals as an add-on. Nothing ships with lorem ipsum.

Can the site be in more than one language? +

Yes. We ship in English, Chinese, Spanish, French and German — one site, every market you sell to. You provide final text, or we translate with a native review.

Can I edit the site myself after launch? +

If you need to update content, we build on a lightweight CMS so you can edit text and images without touching code. Or we handle changes on a simple monthly care plan.

What do you need from me to start? +

The fifteen-minute brief covers it: your business and goals, any brand assets you already have, examples of sites you like. We guide you through each stage.

Ready when you are.
